This purchase reserves a whole pig, cutsom butchered, on our next available harvest date. Once your deposit is paid, we will follow up with an email confirmation, a harvest date, and to get your cut sheet filled out.
Reserve a Whole Pig
Payment for reserving your animal can be made with cash, check, credit card or PayPal
Payment for the actual animal must be made with cash or check. PayPal and credit card will incur a 3% convenience fee.
Our target weight is between 180 and 220lbs hanging weight for whole pigs.
The cost is $6/lb hanging weight, including butcher fees. Curing fees and sausage fees are additional. These costs are about $1.50/lb.
Expect the total for a whole pig to be approximately $1,100-$1,300 plus $50-$100 if you plan to cure hams, bacon, and/or make sausages.
You will get back about 120lbs of meat for a whole pig.
We recommend ordering a half pig your first time. Many people make adjustments to their second order since they have a better idea of what they will be getting back and what they most enjoyed.
