Recipe: Colorado Peach BBQ Sauce

Autumn is just around the corner here in Colorado, and that means the end of summer, and the end of peach season. This simple, easy-to-make barbecue sauce is a perfect use for those last ripe peaches on hand, and goes beautifully with pastured pork carnitas (see recipe below).

Recipe: Colorado Peach BBQ Sauce

yield: 2-4 servings

equipment: pot or pan; blender

time: 10-15 minutes to prep and cook + 10-15 minutes to cool

5 ripe Colorado peaches, peeled and cut into small pieces

`1/2 cup ketchup

3 oz dijon mustard

1 Tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Blend all ingredients together. Bring to boil. Let cool to room temperature. Use as sauce for pulled pork or as desired! Holds in fridge up to 2 weeks.
